I have some pictures of the famous ginger bread house of the Ritz Carlton Hotel of Palm Beach - Manalapan, Florida. It took weeks to build and is large enough for a child to get inside of it. Look through the pages and click on the images for a larger view of the decorations.
I would sure hate to have to pay the electric bill to FPL for many of these Christmas holiday light displays on the homes and inside the houses on the tree's.

Christmas display and decorations are very popular here in Palm Beach and South Florida. It is very comfortable this time of year as the rest of the country has winter weather. Christmas lighting is very beautiful and I have a hard time believing the amount of time some people put into their Christmas and holiday displays at Christmas time.
It is a good thing that wintertime is the dry part of the year, as Christmas lights do not always hold up well to wet weather and rainy downpours. FPL really cleans up with the electric bills as the lights and holiday decorations go up and the Christmas tree is light with many lights of various colors.
Palm Beach is the home of many movie stars and captains of industries and the playground of the well to do and the mansions are often decorated with the most colorful and beautiful lights in abundance of numbers. Garland and wreaths surround the homes and houses around the county and cities and towns in the West Palm Beach area.
I perform weddings and assist plan weddings and I also take pictures as a professional wedding photographer. My specialty is wedding photography, but I also love landscapes and pictures of holiday décor and displays are right up my alley. I like taking pictures of homes and houses as they display their holiday lights. The colors of the lights really are prominent against the night sky in the wintertime displays of the neighborhoods of Palm Beach. Christmas trees are well decorated with candy and ornaments as well as the staple of lights. It is no wonder why there were many fires back in the days of the use of candles for lighting the Christmas tree. Even with the use of lights and the low temperature bulbs fires still is a problem at this time of year over the holidays.
People here decorate their houses with lights and ribbons of various colors along the inside and outsides of their homes. It is truly a sight to behold as you see the splendor of the glory of the reds, greens, whites and blues of the lights. There is every color light under the sun I various shades of colors in every shade of the rainbow.
The local cities also help with the decorations and the décor is wonderful and one can enjoy the winter without a coat. I for one enjoy being able to perform and take pictures of beach weddings in the wintertime and not have to worry about having a heavy winter coat. While the rest of your friends and family are freezing in the northeast, we here in sunny south Florida enjoy the mild to moderate weather of the tropics. One might miss the snow of Christmas time, but you might actually need a sweater at night as you are out looking at holiday displays at they light up the night.
West Palm Beach is very beautiful along Flagler drive and it is named for Henry Flagler the railroad tycoon that was responsible for the popularity of Palm Beach. He built a home there that became a museum. It is a shame that the Christmas lights are almost all virtually made in China and the Underwriters Laboratory seal is missing from the safety seal among the many products imported over made with slave labor in communist concentration camps.
